Spicing it up a little

Unread postby owl » Mon Apr 25, 2005 4:46 pm

I added rank-title things that correspond with number of posts. Hope they don't offend anyone. I'd originally used Fisherman's Wife and Stepdaughter as a couple of the newbie ranks, but I changed them because I didn't want to hurt anyone's masculinity.

I'm also going to get creative with the forum titles, we'll see where that takes us.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

Personally, i do not like the rank-title system which is somehow popular in the world wide web. People should get their own pictures of other users, depending on their personal discussions. I just care for the content of the poster's message but not about the number of his posts.
But I don't feel offended, I don't realy mind. It's just a comment.

I like the forum titles.
yesterday i was recording the sound of the flying clouds, just as usual.
but what i then got to hear was harming me.
today i don't record the cloud's sounds.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere about getting rid of that PHPbb tent logo in the upper lefthand corner and replacing it with something more "Califonesqe". Maybe I am just imagining things again...

If not! Maybe we should have a little logo contest or something?

it wasn't your imagination, andu. it WOULD be cooler to replace the tent. this forum software is free, and i'm not sure if they will allow for certain things to be modified. free advertising and all that.

i'll look into it. it is fairly lame, i'd love to change the logo, and it would be super fun to have a graphics contest. more importantly to me? for now the software is in my price range :D

I was browsing the phpbb.com website forum, and here is a link that might help the cause for the removal of the tent logo. Give it a shot!

From the looks of this website: http://forum.mclusky.net/, the phpbb tent thingy can be modified. . .

I think we should just use the "Godzilla Island Forum" graphic that the guy in the link created. That is "Califonesque."
