I might sound like a total lameass for asking this...but in all the tour photos and/or videos i haven't seen ben? did he leave the band?

I don't know when he may see this or respond, but he's needed to stay home to Mr. Mom recently...

If you're talking about the current European tour, he's not on board for that part.

Ben was at 6 of the 7 shows I attended so far (Roots & Crowns). But I might just be lucky and live in the right region to catch him.

Chicago IL - Oct 21 2006 - Empty Bottle
Cleveland OH - Nov 3 2006 - Beachland Tavern (he was not at this show, but it kicked ass as well!!!)
Columbus OH - Nov 21 2006 - Wexner Center *with Brent Green performance
Indianapolis IN - Nov 22 2006 - Birdy's
Chicago IL - Nov 24 2006 - Auditorium Theatre (opening for Wilco)
Ann Arbor MI - Dec 8 2006 - MSU Union
Chicago IL - Jan 19 2007 - The Hideout

Califone live shows makes me really, really happy. :oops:

Hi everyone.

sorry I've been sort of out of commission for awhile.

ever since "our" president was sworn in for his second term in january of '05, I've been a little disoriented &, frankly, I've been having a little trouble getting up the nerve to go outside { see http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases ... 120-1.html }

since then it's been one thing after the other & whenever it seems like it might be ok, something happens. like anna nicole or britney's hair ~ it's never-ending really.

but really? we've pulled the ol' switcharoo at home recently. Mama's off working & I've been home with our 2 kids. that's right ~ Mr. Mom. hopefully Freaky Friday will end shortly and I'll be back in action. I've been missing the music and you all terribly and hope to be back as soon as possible. If all goes well, maybe for the spring tour.

we could use a nanny.

someone?

anyone?

{well, not just anyone... }

hope to see you all again soon ~ shouldn't be too much longer.

I accept your offer on Miche's behalf. When do you want him to come down?

Our buddy Mr. Bigsky is only allowed to be Benedetto's nanny if he gets some studio time with the ol' Djimbe. And that will make herding the chilluns a bit hard, since Ben knows what happens when Miche and I lock ourselves in the Fortress of Solitude.

Just sayin'....

if time and money were of no concern i could be a nanny if it meant the world would get to see ben ... i could also be a driver and could bring the kids on the road ... i could also just bring them to the studio so me and djimbe can record the follow up to my record.

what we need is a financial sponsor.

(miche turns his gaze towards that guy over there with the money)

(guy with money looks away)

the dream continues.

djimbe i'm a gonna email you my latest tune - it appears on a compilation but i'm quite proud of the results as it was all done on 8 track cassette in a french basement.

if anyone else wants it you can find it on my myspace page and if you message me your email address i can also send the song to you direct.

i hope to find my way to some of the summer shows if possible. i'll give you the heads up if i'm making my way down.
