Southern Accents

Tom Petty's version of Southern Accents is playing on XM radio right now. Easier to understand some of the words when he sings them, but overall a less interesting song, less texturing to the sound.
I'll stick to the Rutilli version.

I still have never heard this song.

Nor have I. Same goes for the HKB take of "I Walk on Gilded Splinters." Is there anywhere we can track some of these stray tunes down? Maybe another "Everybody's Mother" volume will take their scarcity into account...

Another stray tune well worth tracking down is Ladders which was offered through emusic with Roots & Crowns. It's become one of my favorite tracks.

Don't forget about "Cluck Old Hen" from the Shanti Project Collection, vol. 3. Michigan Girls is on there, too (not the Quicksand/Cradlesnakes version).

Yeah, that's a good'n. I'm pretty sure Cluck Old Hen can be grabbed off the Pastry Sharp website if any body doesn't have it.
