I can't get registered on dimeadozen for the life of me. I might try to setup a FTP on Monday for those of us who can't get on if someone is kind enough to post it there.

Alot of the mp3 blogs use these servers for hosting files:
Rapidshare
Mediafire
Sharebee
Badongo

I think you'll still have to figure out a way to compress the file some though as that's pretty large.

You can get it here if you don't have access to Dime:

it was a crappy show at The Hideout, and how DARE THEY...for making me remember how old i am.

looking forward to Sub Pop 20 reports. the Chi show was a little slice of heaven. worth the trip, fo sho. reading through all the posts and reviews is nice. it's been awhile at pastrysharp.

i got to sit in on rehearsal the day before (tee hee), and it was really fun to experience the contrasting vibe of serious, professionally contained sound vs. the loud, live, sweaty, crowded show. they were awfully nice to accomodate me.

thanks RRM.

Thanks Owl for fixing up those of us who are hopelessly incapable of getting Dime to work. Thanks also the the taper and RRM. Listening now and smiling. Not quite as good as being there, but a hell of a lot cheaper. Plus it might have been a tad loud for our daughter who was only four days old on the day of the show.

Congratulations Mike,

Good wishes on your new addition. You can always call her "Heidi" in honor of the Hideout. It was a great show and yes, very loud.

Hey Owl,

I've never downloaded from your site before and I'm having a little trouble. I have xAct instaled on my MacBook Pro, but cannot seem to get the files into xAct. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

You should be able to ctrl-click and then download each individual flac file to your desktop. Then you can drag them onto the xAct icon or into the xAct window, and you should be good to go. Let me know if you still have problems!

Not to steal attention away from the RRM reunion show, but I'm eager to hear more about Jim Becker's performance. Is this stuff like the Interkosmos soundtrack or is he singing his own material? Does he have plans to record and release anything else on his own?

Regarding Mr. Becker...

I don't think I'll be causing him any problems by saying that he has a solo record at least 95% complete. Last I heard there were some vocal bits that needed snapping up, but that may have happened by now. My chief engineer, the guy who did the Quicksand record, engineered. Recorded at Clava with some Califone participation, along with other friends of his. It's very much like a traditional rock and roll record. It's quite good. I have no idea what his plans for it are. Jim's set list the other night was largely drawn from this record...
"how was that take?"

good news folks

here is what the taper mailed me

Hello,

Yes I did tape the opening set by Jim Becker. I will try to upload the recording sometime next week. Sorry that I didn't respond sooner, but I have been very busy.

Keep a look out for it on dimeadozen.

please do not start to moan about a non dime access again i am sure even this will find its way onto the owl and bear tracker most of you should know by now...

Just curious if anyone saw the Seattle show and what their thoughts were. I haven't read or heard of any reviews of the show. Anyone?

Yeah I'd be really curious too. There seems to be almost no SubPop fest representation anywhere.

Well..apparently they played to an audience of no one in Seattle. Damn, I could have been right up front!

Owl, thanks again for the post of the show on your site, I've listened to it a few times, too bad I was being a suit and tie guy when they were playing here in the 90's, what great shows those must have been.
