New to trading? Here are some ideas:
Most importantly, Don’t Pay For Unofficial Bootlegs, and don’t offer money for unofficial bootlegs.
If you have nothing to offer in the line of a trade, ask around the bulletin board.
Someone will help you start a bootleg collection. Many people will at least be willing to do a B&P (see below).
Ask merv as a last resort.
He would love nothing more than to help you, but he’s a busy fellow, too. You’re better off checking for volunteers first.
Better yet, seek out members who are single; they’re suckers for attention.
Other big ideas:
Only use bubble-padded envelopes.
Fiber-filled envelopes may contain recycled material, but the fiber can scratch your discs or even get into your CD player (not good, trust me).
Also, recycling is great, so re-use your bubble-padded mailers until they’re shredded!
When mailing cds, protect them in paper sleeves.
If you're on a Mac, contact merv before burning any cds for anyone!
Some bad things can happen if you're on a Mac, but they are easily preventable.
Don’t be a jerk!
