I'm still sticking my head in here every now and then...lulls aren't always a bad thing. I don't know if you're intersted or not, but Goner finally got around to pressing that Harlan record you've been diggin' on vinyl...

I'll definitely have to order that. I'm getting a new record player soon. Woohoo!

Any news on a new Califone record? I had read that Brian Deck was working with Califone on the new disc. Not sure if that means it would be a RRM disc or Califone, but Deck played on Roomsound.

Very much looking forward to some new material. The new songs they played at the Hideout last time were great. I remember one was called Burned by Christians? Not sure about the other. Anyone record that show?

Those new songs that I heard at the Hideout and Empty Bottle shows were great. I think they played three, right?

Hey Zoosleuth...do you know if anyone taped that Hideout show? I'd love to hear some of that performance again.

Mike, I can't remember if I saw anyone taping that Hideout show or not. Part of me says that I saw some stereo mic rig there and felt relieved. Part of me, the part drinking beer no doubt, can't remember. I want to say that the hideout records all their shows and that they have some mics up there in the rafters sleeping with the christmas lights. Haven't seen any posts though or heard anything about it so......anyone?

hello, we just finished a new califone album. no title yet. should have more news about release date and tour dates and all that soon.
we worked on it in l.a., phoenix, long beach and wherever we could over the last 6 months but did most of the work in chicago with brian deck. it was great to watch brian and ben get giddy leaning into each other over the computer screen. way better than old times. another pretty amazing journey.
here's a track list-- some titles may change but this is probably it-

1.pink&sour
2.spiders house
3.sunday noises
4.the eye you lost in the crusades
5.a chinese actor
6.our kitten sees ghosts
7.alice crawley
8.the orchids
9.burned by the christians
10.black metal valentine
11.rose petal ear
12.3legged animals
13.if you would

ok, more info soon to come--thanks
hugo
